Another trip around the world!!

Round the World MapThe time has arrived for us to travel on another round the world trip!

Obviously the main reason for this trip is to be in Sweden for my sisters wedding, but since we are travelling that far we might as well do a few stops along the way and see a few new places.

We organized this trip with the help of the program “Star Alliance Mileage Calculator”, just as we did for our last trip. We originally had quite a few more stops planned on our trip but quickly realized that our trip was getting too rushed and that the taxes were getting way too high. So we cut out a few of the stops that we had planned and ended up with the following flights:

  • Sydney – Honolulu
  • Honolulu – Las Vegas
  • Las Vegas – New York
  • New York – Stockholm
  • Stockholm – Amsterdam
  • Amsterdam – Venice
  • Split – Zagreb
  • Zagreb – Bangkok
  • Bangkok – Sydney

After a few days in Hawaii to warm up and to get away from the cold here in Sydney, we then move on towards Las Vegas for some tacky galore and maybe some slot machines just to get a few free drinks (well, free besides from the tips that you HAVE to give in the states). From there we move to New York and New Jersey to meet up with family and friends.

We’ll attend my sisters wedding in Sweden and then fly to Amsterdam for some sightseeing and to stay with some old friends. We will then arrive in Italy where we will travel by train and see Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre (with maybe a quick stop in Pisa just to see the tower), Rome, Positano in the Amalfi Coast and finally over to Bari where we will catch the ferry over to Dubrovnik in Croatia.

We’re not quite sure of what we will see or do in Croatia yet, but it will probably be Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar before we move on to Split and finally the capital Zagreb.

Our last stop is Thailand, a few days in Bangkok, Ayuthaya and Kanchanaburi before we move on to an island (probably Koh Tao) where we will spend around a week doing nothing and also celebrating my 30th birthday.

That’s it for this time… let us know if any of you are anywhere close to these areas and we might just have to meet up!
